Welcoming in God’s grace calls us to see God in all people and open our hearts to them.

First Lutheran is blessed as God continues to call us to welcoming our neighbor, near and far, for worship, fellowship and service. Whether gathered on-site or on-line, God’s community forms and embraces the rich diversity created when God casts a wide net and those whom God calls are welcomed into community where gifts are shared. As we look into Gods future for First Lutheran, our eyes are set on the blessing of God’s grace and how that grace will accompany us as we build relationships with one another grounded in the sacrificial love of God shown to us in Jesus himself.

Growing in God’s Grace calls us to intentionally nurture the faith God has given us.

In the upcoming year, as God’s faith formation and worshiping ministries continue to grow in new directions, we are so blessed with talented staff and programming opportunities that call God’s people together for worship, praise and thanksgiving. This year we are committing to a investment in laying the foundation for continued growth in these ministries. Your offerings make these life-giving and life-affirming ministries possible. We’re investing now, not because these ministries represent the future of God’s church, but instead comprise the present of God’s church.

Sharing in God’s grace calls us to “love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and love our neighbors as ourselves (from Mark 12:30-31) through acts of justice, mercy and love.

In response to God’s work in our lives in the waters of baptism, we are called to share the grace we have received, not in addition to our daily tasks, but in and through all our daily tasks. Your past generosity has enabled us to join in ministry with our neighbors near and far. In 2021, we feel God calling us to continue to share generously the grace we have received. Plans include expanding support for critical ministries both within and outside of the congregation. You are invited to practice God’s generosity throughout the year, knowing that your offerings can truly be life-changing for our neighbors.
