As the Apostle Peter said: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful steward of God’s grace in various forms”. (1 Peter 4:10).
Thank you for your generosity and willingness to share with open hands, giving freely as we provide what is best for those in need. First Lutheran is blessed to have members who do not merely perform a compassionate act here or there, but rather live out a cheerful spirit of giving. You have devoted your time and God-given talents to help people here and around the world in over 60 ministries and volunteer opportunities, such as sewing quilts for Lutheran World Relief, transporting food boxes to neighboring homes for the food ministry at Breath of God, sending cards and letters of encouragement to residents at continuing-care facilities, participating in bible study, singing in the choir or caring for the rain garden.
After thinking and praying about the best use of your talents, please complete the form with your commitment to support ministries of your greatest interest by Reformation Sunday, October 29th,. You may either mail the form using the enclosed envelope or place it in the box, located at the church vestibule. We will dedicate our Time and Talent volunteer forms during the worship service on Reformation Sunday.
Together may we honor God, grow spiritually, and make a difference by “Welcoming, Growing, and Sharing in God’s Grace.”
