Christian Education Committee

Statement of Purpose
The mission of the Christian Education Committee is to provide an arena in which the Christ event can be taught, interpreted, and lived.

Activities
The committee's responsibility is to provide educational opportunities to all ages. This is accomplished through a wide range of activities, including offering a Sunday Church School program for approximately 200 children, a variety of adult education classes, and a Vacation Bible School program; organizing teacher workshops; maintaining the church Resource Center; providing a children's midweek learning and music experience (First Light); overseeing the 7th and 8th grade confirmation program, First Communion instruction and overseeing the nursery.

Nature of Group Membership
The committee consists of members of varying ages and interests.
