This window contains a dove and tongues of fire, both of which symbolize the Holy Spirit. The dove represents the Holy Spirit present at Jesus' Baptism. The twelve tongues of fire represent the Holy Spirit descending on the Apostles at Pentecost.

The young woman represents the church, the bride of Christ, while the shell and the water represent baptism. It is through baptism that we are sanctified, that is made holy, and claimed as children of God.

Scripture is full of stories about being lost. The 15th chapter of Luke contains a number of parables about being lost: the prodigal son, the lost coin, and the good shepherd. It is this last one that is the basis for this stained glass window.
